What we are
We run a website and a call referral service for siding work. Homeowners read our guides, then call us. We connect each caller with a local provider who installs or replaces siding.
We focus on one trade only. That trade is siding installation and replacement. The materials are vinyl, fiber cement, wood, engineered wood, and metal.
What we are not
We are not a siding company. We own no crews. We own no trucks or tools. We do not visit homes. We do not measure walls. We do not write quotes.
We are not a review site. We post no star ratings. We post no customer reviews. We make no claims about awards or years in business. A provider is a separate business with its own record.
How the money works
You pay us nothing for the referral. The provider may pay us a fee for a call or a lead. That is the whole model, in plain words.
The fee does not set your job price. The provider sets the price after a site visit. You can ask for the full scope in writing. You can also get quotes from more than one firm if you wish.
We do not sell add on products. We do not offer payment plans. We do not arrange payment for the work. All payment for a job goes between you and the provider.
How we choose cities
We publish a city page only when a provider network covers that city. Each page needs real local facts. Those facts cover weather, housing stock, permit rules, and local areas.
We check facts against public sources. We list those sources on each city page. We mark the check date as last verified. If we cannot find solid facts, we do not publish the page.
We grow in small batches. A new batch starts after most of the prior batch is live and indexed. This pace keeps quality up and errors down.
How we write our guides
Our guides explain materials in calm, plain terms. We state the good points and the weak points of each option. We list cost factors, not fixed prices. Prices change with home size, material grade, and local labor rates.
We do not copy text from city to city. Each city page gets its own facts, areas, and questions. Shared ideas get fresh words and local detail on each page.
Your part in the process
Ask the provider direct questions. Ask who holds the license. Ask what the quote covers. Ask how long the job takes. Ask what happens if rot shows up under the old siding.
Keep the contract and the quote. Take photos before work starts. Note each payment you make. Clear records protect you if a dispute comes up later.
You can read more on our home page, compare services, or use the contact page to see how to reach us.
Common questions
How does SidingNear make money?
A provider may pay us a fee when we send a call or a job lead to that provider. You pay us nothing. The fee is part of how referral services work, and we state it in plain words on each page. The fee does not change the quote process. The provider still sets the price, and you still choose if you accept it.
Do you check provider licenses?
Providers tell us they hold the license their state or city asks for. We do not issue licenses, and we do not act as a regulator. You should ask the provider to show license proof before you sign. You can also check the license with your state or city office. If a provider cannot show proof, you can walk away and call us back.
Can SidingNear fix a problem with my job?
We cannot fix siding, order a crew back, or set a repair date. The contract for the work is between you and the provider. We can record your report, pass it to the provider, and note it for future referrals. Keep your contract, quote, and photos in one place. Those records help if you need to raise a claim with the provider.
Why do you publish city pages?
Each city page explains local weather, home types, permit offices, and areas served. Siding faces heat in one city and heavy rain in the next, so local facts change the right choice. We write a page only for a city in our coverage list. We check the facts on each page and mark the date we last checked them at the top.
